Back to beach for after work session to finish the day. Launched at Hove 5:30pm with 4.5m Ezzy. Tide pushing back up around groynes. Waves were head high and clean. Wind cross on, but nice for bottom turns and cut backs. Some big ones piling in further out for massive carves, then reforming again and again to the inside. Quite a few people windsurfing for once, maybe 4 at lagoon and 5 at King Alfreds. Kites usual 5-6, no problems. Jumping was unlimited, some very steep and very tall ramps to be hit full on. Out back, faces were 6-8 feet and vertical. Rode and rode till my arms were spaghetti then made the long slog all the way upwind. Just got to my launch point and the mother of all waves stretched out and cleaned up for me. Rode it non-stop, no cut backs, down the line for 3 groynes. 6 or 7 big swoops, then another upwind slog and late home as a result. For me, it was my best session and best conditions since January. About time.
